Packaging and sustainability

I thought I would explain a bit regarding my feelings about sustainability and the environmental impact of my shop.

I am very aware that many of my products are some form of plastic. Unfortunately, these are not the kind of items that can be replaced with something wooden or any other material. So I do take steps to decrease my environmental impact in the following ways;

I try my hardest to source hard wearing, quality products that can be used for long periods of time and in many cases washed and reused infinitely, such as the silicone items.

When given the choice, I order products without plastic packaging and any that have excessive plastic packaging I remove and take to my local supermarket for recycling.

I cut the labels off of all of my deliveries that are in satchels and take the satchels with my other soft plastics to be recycled.

I try to reuse packaging as much as possible from my household as well as those of friends and family. So don't be surprised if you receive a parcel from me that is in an Amazon satchel or Officeworks box!

And lastly, where recycling is not possible, I try to buy paper bags and compostable satchels.
